Dubrovnik Church Architecture
From above the stone streets of Dubrovnik, the Church of St. Blaise rises like a quiet anchor in a sea of tiled roofs. The view compresses centuries into a single frame—rounded dome, carved statues, weathered limestone, and the familiar geometry of the Adriatic coast. I was standing high on the city walls when the late afternoon light began sliding across the Old Town, softening the hard edges and giving the buildings that gentle glow only Mediterranean cities seem to know. In black and white, the scene becomes less about color and more about structure, about how generations stacked their lives one stone upon another.
What draws me to Dubrovnik is the sense that nothing here is accidental. The rooftops lean toward one another as if in conversation, and the church sits at the center like a patient listener. You can almost feel the weight of history in the tiles—storms, wars, celebrations, and ordinary mornings all folded into the same surfaces. Photographing this from a distance allowed me to step back from the tourist postcard and look at the city as a living organism, built layer by layer over hundreds of years.
I remember walking those streets earlier in the day, hearing the echo of footsteps through narrow alleys, the smell of the sea drifting up from the harbor. By the time I reached the viewpoint, the crowds had thinned, and the city felt like it belonged to itself again. That moment matters to me more than any checklist of landmarks. A photograph should come from time spent, from standing still long enough to understand a place rather than simply collecting it.
This image was created on location from real, lived experience in Dubrovnik, and every print is personally signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity affirming its origin as an original photograph. For me, authorship is not a slogan but a responsibility to the places I photograph and to the people who choose to live with the work.
The rhythm of domes and roofs makes this piece feel both architectural and intimate. It works beautifully in spaces that value texture and history—studies, libraries, living rooms where conversation lingers. The black-and-white treatment emphasizes form over spectacle, allowing the viewer to discover new details each time they look: a cracked tile, a carved face, a small window half-hidden in shadow.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
