Certificate of Authenticity
Every limited-edition fine art photograph I release is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity. The certificate confirms that the photograph is an authentic work created by me, Dan Kosmayer, and records the specific details of the print received by the collector.
A Limited Edition of Only 10
Each photograph is released in a single worldwide limited edition of only 10 prints.
The edition of 10 applies to the photograph across all available print sizes combined. It does not mean that 10 prints are available in every size.
A 10 × 10-inch print and a 30 × 30-inch print of the same photograph are counted within the same edition. When one sells, one of the 10 available edition numbers is permanently used, regardless of the size selected.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition is complete and the photograph will no longer be available as a signed, numbered fine art print.
Information Included on the Certificate
Each Certificate of Authenticity records:
- The title of the photograph
- The year the photograph was created
- The printing medium
- The dimensions of the print
- The total edition size
- The individual edition number
- The date the certificate was issued
- My name and signature as the artist
For example, a certificate may identify a print as Edition Number: 1 of 10, confirming its individual position within the complete edition.
Created, Inspected and Signed by Me
Each print is produced using museum-grade materials and archival pigment inks selected for long-term stability and accurate tonal reproduction.
Before a print leaves my studio, I individually inspect, sign and approve it. The accompanying certificate provides a permanent record connecting that particular print to the photograph, the edition and me as the artist.
Part of the Artwork’s History
The Certificate of Authenticity should remain with the photograph throughout its life. It documents the origin of the artwork and its individual place within the limited edition.
If the print is later gifted, inherited or transferred to another collector, the certificate should remain with it.
Every print is therefore one of only 10 signed and numbered fine art prints that will ever be released from that photograph—10 in total across every size, not 10 per size.
