Abandoned GMC Farm Truck Alberta | Limited Edition of 10
Prairie Relic Beneath Weathered Farm Machinery
I found this abandoned GMC farm truck in southern Alberta, sitting where the open prairie had begun reclaiming the machinery left behind. Tall grass crowded around the wheels, the wooden truck bed had faded to gray, and decades of weather had broken the body into layers of cream paint, dark stains, and burnt orange rust. Nothing about the scene appeared arranged. The truck had simply remained where its working life ended.
The weathered body gives this photograph the unmistakable character I look for in classic automotive wall art. The rounded hood, single headlight, red marker lamp, dented bumper, cloudy windshield, and exposed wheel remain visibly imperfect. Every scratch, stain, and patch of corrosion records years of use. The truck is no longer functional, yet it retains a remarkable physical presence, appearing heavy, stubborn, and deeply rooted in the land.
I photographed the scene on location while traveling through the agricultural landscape of southern Alberta. The warm prairie light first drew me toward the truck, particularly the way it moved across the hood and exposed the irregular surface of the rust. What completed the composition was the old farm machinery rising behind it. Its angular structure cuts diagonally into the open sky, adding tension and expanding the story beyond the vehicle itself.
The truck dominates the lower half of the frame, while the machinery reaches upward as a secondary subject. Together, they create a layered portrait of rural work, abandonment, and time. Within my vintage truck wall art, this photograph stands apart because the vehicle has not been isolated from its original environment. The wooden bed, agricultural equipment, prairie grass, and distant trees all remain part of the visual narrative.
The muted color palette is built around rusted orange, aged cream, weathered timber, deep shadow, dry grass, and restrained blue. Those colors give the photograph warmth without turning it into a nostalgic postcard. From across a room, the truck has immediate visual weight. Viewed closely, the peeling paint, corroded metal, worn glass, wood grain, and tangled vegetation reveal an intricate collection of surfaces.
This limited edition photograph would work particularly well in a study, office, den, farmhouse, workshop, or contemporary interior that benefits from strong texture and a grounded rural subject. It can sit naturally beside wood, leather, stone, and other organic materials, while the strong vertical composition also gives it enough structure for a cleaner modern space.
I produce each limited edition print with archival pigment inks on Premium archival paper. Every print is personally signed by me and includes a certificate of authenticity documenting its place within the edition of ten.
The enduring character of machinery, weather, and working landscapes continues throughout my farm wall art photography.

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
