Weathered Cuban Bus Parked Along Faded Pastel Streets
I found this bus sitting quietly along a narrow street in Santa Marta, Cuba, surrounded by buildings that felt just as worn and lived-in as the vehicle itself. The first thing that caught my eye was the texture—layers of peeling paint, rust creeping through seams, and the soft contrast between the faded teal and white panels. It’s the kind of scene that doesn’t need staging or timing. It’s just there, existing as part of daily life, carrying people from one place to another in a way that hasn’t changed much in decades.
The bus itself feels heavy with history. You can see it in the chipped edges, the uneven panels, the patched repairs that keep it running. Inside, a few passengers sit quietly, framed by rectangular windows that line up almost perfectly with the rhythm of the street behind them. There’s something honest about that—no polish, no attempt to hide the wear. Just function, persistence, and time doing what it always does.
The surrounding buildings add another layer. Soft pastel colours—greens, pinks, and creams—are cracked and weathered, but still holding their identity. It creates a palette that feels unmistakably Cuban. Nothing is pristine, but everything belongs. Even the horse and carriage just behind the bus adds to the scene, blending old-world transportation with something slightly more modern, though both feel equally timeless here.
I photographed this while walking through the streets, not chasing anything specific, just letting the environment unfold before me. Moments like this don’t announce themselves. You recognize them by feel—the balance of colour, the quiet movement, the sense that if you don’t stop, it’s gone. This is exactly how it was, right in front of me.
For a space, this piece brings character without trying too hard. It works especially well in areas where texture and authenticity matter—offices, studios, or living spaces that lean toward industrial, travel, or urban themes. It doesn’t dominate a room, but it holds attention the longer you look at it.

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
