As a photographer and artist, I captured a timeless scene at the Dry Tortugas, approximately 110 kilometers (68 miles) west of Key West, Florida, USA. This black and white photograph showcases the historic lighthouse standing tall amidst the vast ocean, a sentinel of hope and guidance for countless sailors navigating the treacherous waters. The image evokes a sense of solitude, strength, and endurance against the elements.
Dry Tortugas National Park, home to this iconic lighthouse, is a remote and unspoiled archipelago with vibrant marine life, coral reefs, and history. The lighthouse, built in 1858 on Loggerhead Key, is a testament to the region's architectural prowess and maritime legacy.
The photograph's composition skillfully balances the towering lighthouse with the expansive, rippling sea, creating a pleasant visual experience. As the creator, I personally print, sign, and package every print at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario. These prints are then shipped worldwide via Canada Post free of charge. Therefore, delivery times can vary based on location, anywhere from a few days to several weeks.
Additionally, when traveling and shooting on location, orders placed during these periods will be dispatched upon my return. This may result in delivery times extending to several weeks. However, rest assured that the wait for these unique pieces is well worth it!
