Charleston Export Coal Terminal Aerial | Limited Edition of 10
Charleston's Silent Landmark: The Export Coal Terminal - Aerial Art Print
In the palpable heat of South Carolina, I embarked on an adventure. Charleston, a city draped in history, opened its arms to me. And so, I found a unique vantage point from the sky - a perspective from the heavens above.
From a helicopter, Charleston Harbor, like a vast mirror, reflected the sky's hue. Stretching into the Cooper River, the abandoned skeleton of a wooden trestle interrupted the otherwise serene vista. A once pulsating artery of the Charleston Export Coal Terminal now stood silent and sad.
This location, the Charleston Export Coal Terminal, housed a coal tipple in its hay day. It came alive in 1915, pumping life into the industrial heart of Charleston. It was a throbbing industrial site where mined materials found a journey's end before venturing into new territories aboard cargo ships.
Yet, with time, the tipple ceased. Once filled with activity, its brick buildings began a quiet, deserted vigil. The wooden trestle that once teemed with life is now a skeletal reminder of a past that saw, felt, and contributed to the growth of Charleston.
From my aerial view, I captured this symbol of a bygone era. The print, hand-signed on the reverse side, captures the intricate details, sharp contrasts, and deep blacks only archival inks can bring out. Each print is printed on acid-free 100% archival photo paper, giving a lifetime warranty against fading.
And yes, the quality of the prints is museum-grade. They come with a certificate of authenticity for your peace of mind. And although the print does not come with a frame, the image is what truly speaks.
Let this print make its journey to you. Wherever you are in the world, delivery is on us. And should you decide that this print is not for you, you have 14 days to return it with a satisfaction or money-back guarantee.
