Fine Art Print of Dublin Shops After Dark

This is the side of Dublin most people walk past without noticing. It’s late. The street is empty, wet with rain. The metal shutters are pulled down tight. Rory’s Fishing Tackle, painted in vibrant graffiti, stands quietly at the corner, waiting for morning. You don’t always see Dublin like this—no crowds, no pubs spilling music, just the quiet, raw reality of a city after hours. It’s this quiet reality I wanted to capture in this fine art wall print.

The colours on the shutters stand out boldly against the night. Graffiti wraps around the storefront, fish swimming through painted waves and words. Each line, each colour tells a different story—unpolished but vivid. The store signs, slightly worn, promise fishing tackle and gear seven days a week, even though right now it’s just darkness behind the metal.

I didn’t frame this to look pretty or nostalgic. It’s about capturing what’s real—an urban street corner in Dublin, the kind you don’t usually pause to see. Dim streetlights light the cobblestone street and faded bricks. Every detail—from the chipped paint to the shadowy edges—feels genuine, lived-in, and human. This fine art wall print isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing the city as it really is when no one’s looking.

There’s beauty in these closed shops, in the quiet moments of urban life that rarely get attention. Rory’s Fishing Tackle isn’t glamorous. It’s just authentic. Dublin, stripped down to its after-hours reality, feels more alive in its silence than in the busiest daytime rush. That’s exactly why I took this photograph—so you could see that too.
