Abandoned Graffiti Truck Texas | Limited Edition of 10
Forgotten Pickup Beneath a Graffiti-Covered Texaco Canopy
I came across this scene while exploring back roads through Texas, the kind of places where old structures slowly fade into the landscape and become part of the story of the region. Sitting beneath the remains of a long-abandoned Texaco service station was this weathered pickup truck, stripped of its parts and covered from bumper to bumper in layers of graffiti. The truck had long ago reached the end of its working life, but the people who discovered it afterward transformed it into something entirely different.
What immediately caught my attention was the combination of subjects within a single frame. The old truck is interesting on its own. The abandoned gas station is interesting on its own. The graffiti is interesting on its own. Together, they create a scene that feels uniquely American. The colorful paint covering every surface stands in sharp contrast to the fading prairie grasses and open landscape stretching toward the horizon. The truck has become less of a vehicle and more of a public canvas, while the service station canopy acts almost like a shelter preserving this accidental work of art.
I spent time walking around the location looking for the strongest composition. I wanted the canopy to frame the truck while still showing the surrounding landscape. The wide-open prairie beyond the station helps establish a sense of isolation and reminds the viewer just how far removed this place is from modern development. There is a feeling of abandonment here, but there is also creativity, resilience, and reinvention. Instead of disappearing into the landscape, the truck continues to attract attention through the artwork that now covers it.
Photographing locations like this is one of the reasons I enjoy exploring secondary highways and forgotten roads. You never know what you will discover around the next bend. Places that most travelers have ignored often contain the most interesting stories. This truck may no longer move under its own power, but it continues to evolve as new visitors leave their marks behind.
This image works particularly well in offices, lofts, garages, studios, and contemporary spaces where bold colors, automotive subjects, and Americana-inspired artwork fit naturally within the décor. The combination of weathered textures, graffiti, and rural Texas character gives the photograph a strong presence without overwhelming a room.
I personally sign each limited-edition print, and each includes a certificate of authenticity. The photograph is produced using archival materials and archival pigment inks to ensure long-term display quality for collectors who appreciate unique pieces of photographic art.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
