Timeless Prairie Landscape with Forgotten Farmhouse
There’s something about the empty prairie that speaks louder than any city street. This photograph captures a solitary abandoned farmhouse standing defiantly in the windswept grasslands of rural Saskatchewan. Its weathered siding, tilting frame, and missing shingles carry the weight of countless seasons—both harsh and forgiving—that swept across this vast land. To me, scenes like this aren’t just about documenting a place, but about honouring the people who once lived, worked, and built their lives here. Every board and broken window whispers stories of endurance, hardship, and family life long since faded into memory.
I chose to present this piece in black and white because it strips the scene down to its essentials: form, light, and mood. Without colour, the textures of the old wood, the leaning fence, and the endless prairie sky take centre stage. It creates an ageless quality, echoing the way the past still lingers, even when the land seems empty. There’s a dignity in decay, a reminder that time is both relentless and beautiful in its own way.
When I travel through these forgotten rural communities, I’m always struck by the contrast between the stillness of the land and the lives that once thrived there. This house is not just a building—it’s a monument to resilience, to those who pushed through endless winters and long summers to carve out a living in Saskatchewan’s open fields. The loneliness in the image isn’t heavy; it feels more like quiet reflection, an invitation to pause and consider the passage of time.
My fine art photography is always about reality—what I saw and experienced in that moment. This isn’t AI, and it isn’t a manufactured scene. It’s a piece of Canada’s story, captured as it truly stood. For me, sharing this kind of work is about more than just wall décor; it’s about creating artwork that carries history, atmosphere, and honesty into someone’s home.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
