United States New York City Statue Of Liberty Night Monument Black And White Wall Art | Limited Edition of 10
Whenever I’m in New York City, I find myself drawn back to the Statue of Liberty. Something is grounding about standing there, watching the last light fade and the torch ignite against a darkening sky. On this particular evening, the clouds moved across the harbour in slow, heavy layers, giving the whole scene an almost cinematic tension. I set up and waited for the moment when the statue’s illumination balanced perfectly with the shifting darkness behind her—when the light didn’t overpower the sky, but rose out of it.
In black and white, the Statue of Liberty takes on an entirely different character. Without colour, I notice the weight of her drapery, the sharp geometry of the crown, the rhythmic folds carved into copper. The torch becomes the brightest point in the frame, a visual anchor surrounded by soft gradients of night sky. This image leans into contrast and structure, making the monument feel timeless, as if carved from the shadows themselves.
What always gets me about photographing iconic landmarks is how quickly they shift from symbols to real places again. Out on the water, with the wind pushing past and the clouds drifting overhead, the Statue of Liberty felt less like an emblem and more like a quiet, resilient presence. I wanted this photograph to hold onto that feeling—the mixture of strength, calm, and stillness that’s easy to sense when you’re actually there.
Like all my work, this photograph comes from real, on-location experience. Nothing here is manufactured or assembled; this is how she stood that night in New York Harbor. I personally sign every print and include a certificate of authenticity confirming it as a genuine fine art photograph, made from my original capture.
Printed large, this piece becomes bold and architectural—perfect for someone who wants a strong, graphical statement on their wall without loud colours. It works beautifully in modern spaces, offices, entryways, or anywhere a sense of presence and history feels right. Even after decades of travel, photographing this monument still leaves me with a quiet sense of awe, and I wanted that to translate directly into the finished artwork.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.
Worldwide Delivery Included
Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
