Walking through London’s financial district in late December is a strange, almost cinematic experience. Just a few streets away, holiday crowds are squeezing through the shops with bags in both hands, but here—amid the towers of steel and glass—everything goes quiet. That emptiness always draws me in. It gives the architecture room to breathe, and it gives me room to look for moments that don’t usually reveal themselves when the city is busy.
This scene comes from one of those quiet night walks. I remember rounding a corner and stopping as soon as I saw the glowing red panel framed by those tall, leaning structural beams. Everything else felt subdued, cold, and nearly grayscale, yet this one striking shape radiated warmth like a beacon. It’s the kind of contrast I love: the rigid geometry of the built world interrupted by something unexpectedly bold. In a setting dominated by cool tones and sharp lines, the red becomes the heartbeat of the frame.
The beams create a diagonal rhythm across the image, almost like a set of slanted shutters revealing a moment inside the city. That tension between concealment and reveal is what makes the composition work for me. It carries a sense of motion even though nothing is moving. You can feel the weight of the steel, the stillness of the night, and the quiet hum of a district that has emptied for the evening.
Standing there, the only sound was the faint echo of footsteps from somewhere down the street. The financial district feels larger than life during the day, but at night, especially around the holiday season, it becomes intimate. Details you’d usually rush past—reflections on polished surfaces, the glow of illuminated interior walls, the geometry of façades—start demanding attention. That sense of discovery is a big part of why I love photographing cities after dark.
In this image, the colour palette is primarily restrained, giving the scene a near–black–and–white atmosphere. The absence of crowds lets the architectural forms take center stage. The red panel acts as a visual anchor, something the eye keeps circling back to as it moves through the diagonals and verticals. It’s both minimal and intense, and that balance is what makes the image a strong piece for modern interiors.

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
