Evening Pedestrians Beneath Web Of Tram Wires
There is something about a European pedestrian street at night that changes the rhythm of a city. The traffic disappears, the sounds soften, and suddenly the architecture and people take over the space. This photograph was made during one of those moments in central Zagreb, where the wide stone street becomes a stage for evening life.
In the distance stands the recognizable clock tower that anchors the street visually. It rises above the surrounding buildings with quiet confidence, its illuminated face glowing softly against the evening sky. What first caught my attention that night was the network of tram wires overhead. They stretch across the street like an intricate web, creating a geometric pattern that pulls the eye toward the tower and gives the scene a sense of structure and order.
Below those lines of wire and architecture, the human movement brings the image to life. People walk through the frame in small groups and pairs, their motion slightly blurred by the long exposure. I like that balance between stillness and movement. The buildings, the lamps, and the street itself remain solid and permanent, while the people drift through the frame as passing moments.
The repeating street lamps were another element that immediately drew me in. Each one creates a soft pool of light along the pedestrian street, forming a rhythm that guides the eye deeper into the scene. The reflections on the stone pavement catch that glow and spread it across the ground, adding texture and depth to the foreground. Even the outdoor café seating on the left side hints at the social life that fills this street earlier in the evening.
I photographed this scene while exploring Zagreb on foot, wandering through the city after sunset with a tripod and camera, waiting for the right mix of movement and atmosphere. Street photography at night often rewards patience. Sometimes it takes several minutes for the right balance of people and space to appear naturally in front of the lens.
This image is presented in black and white to emphasize structure, contrast, and light. Without color competing for attention, the viewer can focus on the architecture, the repeating lamps, and the elegant lines of the tram wires stretching overhead.
Each print is produced using archival pigment inks and museum-quality materials to ensure lasting detail and tonal depth. I personally sign every piece and include a certificate of authenticity confirming it as part of a limited-edition fine-art release.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
