Snow Covered Alpine Ridges Beneath Warm Evening Light
I made this photograph high in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, where the evening light reached across a vast alpine landscape still carrying the remains of winter. From one ridge to the next, dark rock, lingering snowfields, and distant glaciers created a layered mountain scene that seemed to continue far beyond the frame. The broad, open view belongs naturally within my collection of mountain landscape wall art, but what gives this image its particular character is the contrast between the rugged terrain and the restrained warmth of the sky.
I reached this viewpoint while traveling by helicopter on a photography tour, moving from mountaintop to mountaintop in search of changing light. That unusual access placed me above a remote wilderness of serrated peaks, glacial basins, steep cliffs, and curving ridgelines. In the foreground, a wide bank of snow follows the slope like a pale ribbon, while patches of exposed brown earth and dark stone reveal the alpine ground beneath it. Farther back, the mountains become increasingly complex: black rock faces, white snow channels, forested valleys, and sharply pointed summits overlap in distinct layers.
The sunset was not loud or theatrical. Instead, the sky shifted through soft orange, peach, and muted pink tones, casting a calm glow behind the snow-covered peaks. That subtle color is important. It separates the mountain silhouettes without overpowering the land, allowing the textures of the rock and snow to remain prominent. The photograph is also a natural fit among my British Columbia mountain photography, because it shows the scale and remoteness of the province in a way that could not be experienced from a roadside viewpoint.
What I value most in this image is the balance between grandeur and stillness. There is enormous geographic scale, yet no visible human structure, road, or settlement interrupts the scene. The winding ridges lead the eye from the foreground snowfield into the central glacier-covered peaks, then toward the jagged summits along the right side of the frame. It feels expansive without becoming chaotic.
This limited edition print is well suited to a living room, office, study, lodge, or any interior where a strong natural landscape can provide depth and quiet visual presence. The neutral rock, white snow, dark forest, and warm sunset tones work especially well with wood, stone, earth-toned furnishings, and contemporary interiors. Each print is personally signed, produced with archival pigment inks on premium archival paper, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
