This photograph was made deep within Killarney National Park in County Kerry, a landscape defined by ancient woodland, saturated greens, and a sense of quiet permanence. The scene centers on a cluster of mature trees rising from a forest floor softened by moss, fallen leaves, and weathered stone. I created this photograph on location while walking through the park, responding instinctively to the way the trees framed one another and how the moss softened every surface it touched. The image is grounded in real experience, shaped by time spent moving slowly through the landscape rather than searching for a dramatic viewpoint.
