What drew me in here wasn’t one single tree or a bold focal point, but the sheer density of branches carrying what looked like the entire weight of the storm from the night before.
This scene sits not far from the Haliburton village area, where the forest grows thick with mixed hardwoods and evergreens. After a storm, the branches tangle into a kind of winter tapestry, every twig outlined in white. It’s one of those conditions photographers chase: calm air, bright overcast light, and fresh snow clinging to absolutely everything. There’s no wind stealing flakes, no sun flattening detail—just a soft natural luminance that turns the forest into a monochrome mosaic.
What I love here is the sense of immersion. It feels like standing at the threshold of a winter maze, the kind where sound disappears and the only thing you hear is your own breath. The branches create a natural pattern that feels both chaotic and perfectly ordered. Look closely and you’ll see layers—front shrubs bending under the weight of snow, younger birch and maple branches weaving upward, and mature conifers anchoring the depth. This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
