Rain-Soaked Shed In A Prince Edward Island Village
I photographed this small fishing shed on a cold, rainy day in Prince Edward Island, in one of those quiet coastal villages where the buildings seem to carry more memory than decoration. The weather was not pleasant in the usual sense. Low clouds. Wet road. Damp grass. Fine rain hangs in the air. But that kind of day often reveals a place's truth.
What caught me first was the front of the shed itself. The vertical boards were worn dark from years of Atlantic weather, with lighter streaks where rain, salt air, and time had worked their way down the wood. The door sits heavy and plain, patched and marked, with hinges that look as though they have been doing their job for longer than anyone bothered to count. Besides, the small window adds just enough human presence to the scene without turning it into something tidy or romantic.
The red maple leaf is the detail that holds the image together for me. I enhanced that touch of color because it belonged there. Not loudly. Not as a gimmick. Just enough to let the emblem stand apart from the gray wood and wet sky. Full black-and-white would have removed too much of that quiet tension, while stronger color would have made the scene feel less honest. This image needed restraint.
I was there in the rain, standing in front of this weathered little building, making the photograph because the mood of the day and the character of the village felt inseparable. It is a real place, photographed on location, not something invented later. I like images that carry the weather with them. This one does.
As wall art, this piece has a calm, rustic strength. It would suit a cottage, cabin, coastal home, farmhouse interior, hallway, office, or any room where worn wood, weather, and a sense of place matter more than polished decoration. The vertical composition also makes it useful for narrower wall spaces where a wide landscape might not fit. It has presence without shouting.
I personally sign each limited-edition item, and each includes a certificate of authenticity. The finished print is made with archival pigment inks, prepared from the original high-resolution photograph, and produced with the care I expect from work meant to live on a wall for years.

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
