Historic Cathedral Reflected In Calm Adriatic Waters
I made this photograph while walking the stone edges of Trogir, just as the afternoon settled into a rare stillness. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence rose ahead of me—solid, intricate, completely unhurried. Its bell tower cut cleanly into the sky, every carved detail catching the light. To the left, the adjoining historic buildings lined the waterfront in quiet symmetry, their shuttered windows and textured stone walls holding centuries of stories.
What stopped me was the water.
There was almost no movement. The Adriatic had turned into a mirror, stretching the cathedral downward into a wavering reflection that felt just as important as the structure itself. The spire elongated into the surface, broken only by faint ripples that gently distorted its form. That subtle distortion is what gives this image its tension. Architecture is rigid, deliberate. Water is fluid, unpredictable. Together, they create balance.
I chose to render this scene in black and white because color would have distracted from what really matters here—form, light, and texture. The Romanesque and Gothic elements of the cathedral become more pronounced without colour competing for attention. The stone feels older. The shadows deepen. The contrast between the sky and the structure grows sharper and more defined. You begin to notice the fine transitions in tone across the facade, the repeating arches, the rhythm of the windows.
I photographed this on location during a quiet walk through Trogir’s historic center. I remember standing there longer than I planned, watching the water and waiting for the surface to settle completely. This wasn’t rushed. It was observed, experienced, and captured in a moment of stillness.
Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on professional fine art paper, personally signed by me, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The craftsmanship is deliberate and meant to honour the place itself.
Trogir sits on a small island connected by bridges, and you feel that sense of enclosure when you’re there—history pressing in gently from every direction. This image carries that atmosphere. It’s calm, but not empty. Detailed, but not overwhelming. The reflection pulls you inward, inviting you to slow down and actually look.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
