Perth was my first stop on a month-long tour of Australia and New Zealand. My wife and I rented a truck and woke up at 5:00 a.m. to make the day-long return journey from Perth to Nambung National Park and all the great stops in between.

On our journey, we were able to visit Wave Rock, Yanchep, Lancelin's large white sand dunes, Hangover Bay, of course, Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. The park itself has a great limestone gravel road through the park. The road is smooth and well maintained, but 4x4 vehicles are recommended. There are spots to park and explore the desert and limestone spires.
