On my travels along Route 66, I stumbled upon a much smaller (and lesser-known installation than the famous Cadillac Ranch), created with five now-considerably-decayed Volkswagen beetles, located in the old Route 66 town of Conway.
This fine art urban photograph focuses on the nearest structure to the Volkswagon Bugs, formerly a shop that had been abandoned for years. The building is covered in colorful and vibrant graffiti. The building has a colorful phone booth and cloth sofa in front of the windows, long since destroyed.
In stark contrast to its more famous Cadillac Ranch counterpart, this graffiti is not covered by fresh paint every 30 minutes. Instead, if you look closely at the image, you will see works that date back more than 20 years—making this location a much more attractive graphic subject for photography.
