Old Doors of Venice Italy
Venice is a fascinating place to photograph for Urban junkies like me. Venice is a great travel destination and a must-see. Here we have an old door that is probably hundreds of years old.
I could not resist photographing this ancient door on this excellent, dry September evening. The texture under the laneway lights emphasizes its age and speaks volumes. It makes one wonder and contemplates what is behind it and the history of this weather ancient wall and door. Just look at the layers and layers of brick and stone. I converted the picture to black and white for extra impact on the texture of the rock, stucco, deteriorating bricks, and peeling paint.
