Sunset silhouettes in the swamps of Louisiana
Caddo Lake is a magical place nestled on the banks of the Big Cypress Bayou, part of the lake’s complicated 25,000+ acres of an interconnected network of bayous, swamps, ponds, and sloughs—between East Texas and Louisiana in the United States of America.
The murky waters average between eight and ten feet in depth which is surprisingly shallow for a lake that size. Caddo lake is home to an abundance of wildlife, like alligators, snapping turtles, beavers, ospreys, egrets, and herons. Canoeing under the sizeable bald cypress trees is an unforgettable treat!
This golden hour landscape photograph features Cypress trees silhouetted against a beautiful orange glowing sunset sky with silky smooth water.
