Geometric Structure and Light from Adelaide’s SAHMRI Building

This fine art wall print features a close-up view of the SAHMRI building in Adelaide, Australia—one of the most visually distinctive architectural structures in the Southern Hemisphere. The focus here is tight: just a section of the façade, where light and form interact across a layered, geometric surface.

Shot in monochrome, the photograph draws out the texture and dimensional depth of the building’s skin. The pattern reads as both rigid and organic, with interlocking elements that ripple across the frame. You get the sense of something alive—shifting slightly depending on where the eye lands.

What makes this image effective as wall art is its balance between structure and abstraction. You know it’s architecture, but it also carries the rhythm of fine art—repetition, contrast, shadow, and flow. The sharp edges and softened reflections bring a quiet tension to the piece. It’s minimal, but not flat.

This print works best in modern interiors—spaces that favour clean lines, neutral tones, and design-driven aesthetics. Ideal for architecture studios, design offices, or anyone drawn to the intersection of art and engineered form.

Captured on location and printed by hand in my studio, this is part of my Architectural Photography Collection, which explores the artistry of real-world structures—never staged, never rendered.

Museum Quality Fine Art Prints

All prints are produced by the artist using archival pigment inks on professional photographic paper with a subtle luster finish.

This paper offers a balanced surface that enhances tonal depth, preserves fine detail, and reduces glare under typical indoor lighting conditions.

Each print is carefully inspected prior to dispatch to ensure consistency of finish and presentation.
