Prague Marionette Puppets Black and White Street Photography Wall Art
Three Hanging Characters at a Prague Workshop Door
The striped shirt catches my eye first, then the faces. Three marionettes hang together at a Prague doorway, their expressions and costumes giving this small street detail a strong sense of character. I photographed them in 2013, with the workshop notice and a pasted image still visible behind the figures. Those everyday details keep the display connected to the place where I found it.
The largest puppet hangs above the others, its long striped sleeves curving down around the smaller figures. In front, a doll in a pale skirt lifts both arms; beside it, another character wears a pointed hat and patterned costume. Their strings reach upward against the door. Black and white makes the stripes especially clear, while the carved faces, fabric folds and small shoes introduce finer textures. I like how the group overlaps rather than sitting in an orderly row. Each figure has its own direction and expression, but together they form one compact, slightly theatrical scene.
Around them, the door’s worn surface and metal fittings add a different kind of detail. The pale wall on the right leaves some breathing room beside the crowded display, and the workshop notice below helps tell the story without a wider view of the street. This Prague wall art suits a creative workspace, reading room or home with an interest in theatre and travel photography. For me, its charm lies in the individual faces and their unexpected company at an ordinary doorway: a small encounter worth stopping to look at.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
