Warm Evening Light Across A Quiet Maine Shore
I photographed this Maine coast at the end of the day, when the last warm light had settled into a narrow band above the horizon and the beach had become almost completely still. The photograph is not built around drama. It is built around quiet structure: a low village stretched across the distant shore, dark rock ledges dividing the water, and a wide expanse of wet sand carrying the sunset color back toward the camera.
This image belongs naturally within my Maine coastal wall art because it reflects the coast as I often experience it—lived in, weathered, modest, and inseparable from the sea. The houses do not dominate the scene. They form a small human rhythm against the open sky, while the empty foreground gives the photograph room to breathe. I made the image on location in Maine, standing on the exposed shore as the tide receded and the evening color slowly weakened.
What holds the composition together for me is the balance between distance and texture. The upper half is simple and atmospheric, moving from warm peach near the horizon into cool blue-gray above. Below it, the beach is more intricate. Pebbles, shallow channels, seaweed, and dark rock interrupt the reflected light without destroying its calm. The reflective tidal flats and rocky shoreline also place the photograph comfortably among my seascape wall art, although the coastal homes give it a character that a purely open-water view would not have.
This is a peaceful print, but it is not empty. There is enough fine detail in the shoreline and village to reward close viewing, while the broad bands of sky, land, water, and sand remain clear from across a room. I think that combination makes the photograph especially suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, offices, cottages, and other spaces where the artwork should bring warmth and quiet without becoming visually loud. The horizontal composition works particularly well above a sofa, console, bed, or long piece of furniture.
I print each limited edition photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper, with close attention to the subtle transition between the warm horizon and the cooler evening sky. Each print is personally signed by me and includes a certificate of authenticity. The edition is limited to ten prints, preserving the photograph as a genuinely scarce piece rather than an endlessly reproduced decoration.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
