Oslo Angled Facades and Mirrored Windows Black and White Architectural Photography

A Narrow Sky Between Repeated Grids and Crossing Reflected Lines

A narrow opening of sky separates the tall facades, while reflections bring another set of building lines into the foreground. Windows repeat across smooth panels, brickwork and glass, turning the Oslo street view into a layered arrangement of angles. I photographed this scene in 2023, looking for the unexpected patterns that appear when architecture reflects its surroundings.

The image is easy to read as a space between buildings, but the mirrored surfaces make that space less straightforward. A reflected facade leans across the left side, and dark seams cut through the view near the bottom. I enjoy how those extra lines interrupt the regular window grids without making the buildings unrecognizable.

Black and white gives the different surfaces a shared tonal range. Pale panels stand beside darker brick, glass catches narrow highlights, and the sky becomes a simple bright shape. The upward perspective lets the facades taper toward one another. Small branches low in the frame add a finer, less orderly pattern among the stronger architectural edges.

This horizontal photograph would suit a modern office, study or living space where geometry and restrained colour are welcome. It works as both an Oslo city image and a more abstract study of windows, reflections and diagonals. From across the room, the narrow sky gives it a clear structure; closer viewing reveals how the reflected and solid surfaces overlap.

About My Fine Art Photography

Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.

I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.

My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
