Old Truck Hood and Cracked Rear Window Black and White Photography
Worn Metal Curves Toward a Cab Framed by Rocky Slopes
The truck’s broad hood fills the foreground, its worn surface leading back toward a rounded cab. Through the front windscreen, a cracked rear window is visible, with an irregular broken edge across its upper portion. I photographed the vehicle from close to the front, keeping the roadside and rocky slopes behind it as a narrower part of the scene.
What interests me is the contrast between the surviving shape and the condition of the metal. The hood still has a clear central ridge and a broad curve over the side, but its finish is marked by patches, scratches and changes in tone. The cab provides a darker band beyond those surfaces, with the window openings separating it from the lighter sky.
I like how the view through the cab adds another layer to the image. The damaged rear glass is a small detail compared with the hood, yet it draws the eye deeper into the truck. At the edges, the road and exposed rock give the subject a setting without taking over the composition. Darker corners concentrate attention on the vehicle and the lighter areas of sky above it.
This automotive print would suit someone drawn to old trucks, weathered metal and photographs that place a vehicle within its surroundings. Black and white brings the surface marks and curved bodywork together, offering a strong overall form from a distance and smaller details to examine up close.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
