Tokyo Glass Towers and Steel Forms Black and White Photography
Curved Glass Grids Behind Reflective Vertical Forms
Looking up through this part of central Tokyo, I found a composition made from several buildings at once. The large glass facade curves across the background, while a narrower reflective structure rises in front of it. An angled roof enters from the left. I moved through the space watching the light change across these surfaces, looking for a position where their different shapes could sit together within one frame. The overlap interested me as much as the height of the buildings.
The broad tower has a steady grid of windows, but its rounded corner bends that pattern gently across the photograph. At the right, another facade introduces a darker and more intricate framework. Between them, the tall metal forms carry wavering reflections rather than a regular window pattern. I included the dark roof and the fence along the bottom because they give the scene a closer layer. Small areas of foliage interrupt the straight lines without taking attention away from the architecture.
In black and white, I could bring those differences in surface and tone forward. The window grids become fine lines against pale glass, and the reflections gain depth beside the darker roof. My eye keeps moving between the continuous curve at the back and the more abrupt shapes in front. I wanted the photograph to hold that movement while remaining quite tightly composed. It records the way these structures appeared from where I stood, with the city arranged into layers by the angle of the camera.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
