When photographing in India, you are overwhelmed by two things: people and color. I love shooting the streets and the wonderfully friendly people of India. Still, I also love 'texture.' I find images like 'Colorful Train Coonoor India,' with its incredible texture and color, make excellent fine art print.
This image was created entirely in Lightroom. I would use numerous plugins like On1 and DxO Nik to amplify the texture and color in the past. This time I made two versions. First, I used Photoshop and the plugins. It looks great, but I wouldn't say I like how you end up blowing out highlights or losing shadows using filters. So I decided to 'PUSH' the processing of the raw image even further and compare (Option C) to view the two images side by side in Lightroom. I had to go back several times, using multiple adjustment brushes. Finally, I got the final result I wanted. The beauty here was that Adobe Lightroom's final image had the same vibrant colors and texture but no blown highlights or lost shadows. But, the Lightroom image was sharper with less noise.
