Toronto Skyscrapers and Blue Glass Architectural Photography

Looking Up Through Toronto’s Glass and Steel Towers

Looking straight up changes the scale of a familiar city. In this colour architectural photograph of Toronto’s banking towers, I let the buildings lean into the frame, drawing the eye from the street toward a pale blue opening in the sky.

The broad tower on the left is full of small, repeating windows. Across from it, a narrower building makes a strong diagonal, its warm reflections standing beside the cooler blue glass overhead. I like how those surfaces catch different versions of the same daylight. The photograph has the precision of a city grid, but the angle gives it a less orderly, more immediate energy.

Rather than fitting the whole skyline into the picture, I concentrated on the space between these structures. That open patch of sky gives the dense architecture room to breathe. Down at the base, the glass entrance and nearby buildings keep the view connected to the street, even as the taller lines seem to stretch far beyond it.

This is a Toronto photo print for someone drawn to modern buildings and the experience of standing among them. Its cool colours and decisive diagonals suit an office, a contemporary living room, or a wall where a vertical city image can hold its own. I see both the weight of the towers and the lightness of their reflective surfaces in this view.

About My Fine Art Photography

Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.

I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.

My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
