Iconic Auburn Emblem in Fine Detail

Some emblems aren’t just logos—they’re legacy. This close-up photograph of a vintage Auburn front end captures that idea perfectly. The sweeping chrome curves, the intricate grille, and the proud “Established 1900” badge weren’t designed for flash—they were built to make a statement.

The hood ornament sits like a crown, casting subtle reflections across the metalwork. I focused tightly on the grille and emblem to let the craftsmanship speak for itself. There’s no background noise, no clutter—just raw detail and presence. Black and white made sense here. Not for nostalgia, but because it brings out the tones and textures that colour would only soften.

This wasn’t shot in a studio. It was part of a real-world encounter—an honest moment with an actual Auburn that had presence in spades. I don’t invent scenes or rely on software to fake the mood. What you see here is exactly what was there: bold, beautiful, and made to endure.

The image is part of my ongoing effort to document the soul of automotive design—real vehicles, real surfaces, real patina. Each print is produced and signed by hand, no outsourcing or shortcuts. Just straight-up photography, rooted in craft and respect.

If you’re drawn to the icons of the road and the fine details that set them apart, you’ll find more like this in my Car Emblem Wall Art Collection.
