Oslo Graffiti on a Weathered Brick Building Street Art Photography
Layered Paint Surrounds Two Rows of Old Windows
I stopped when I saw how thoroughly the paint had taken over this Oslo building. Red and orange lettering stretches along the bottom, green shapes sit between the upper windows, and finer marks fill the spaces around them. In this colour photograph, the old brick façade and the graffiti hold equal importance.
The windows give the scene a framework. Their repeated rectangles provide something steady within the overlapping paint, while dark panes and worn frames reveal the building beneath it. On the right, a red balcony adds a different set of lines. I spent time finding a position where those architectural elements and the painted forms would fit together in one close view.
Soft daylight helped keep the colours rich without burying the smaller details in harsh shadow. You can follow drips, peeling surfaces, and patches of exposed masonry through the layers. Some lettering reads clearly; other marks disappear beneath newer shapes. I was drawn to that accumulated surface, where no single painted piece tells the whole story.
The photograph carries the visual energy of street art while remaining a view of a particular wall in Oslo, Norway. The red lower band catches attention immediately, but the windows and smaller marks keep the eye moving. I wanted the picture to preserve the building’s roughness and the way the paint lives around its everyday structure, rather than turning the graffiti into an isolated graphic.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
