Broken Sea Ice Beneath Storm Covered Antarctic Peaks
I photographed this scene in Antarctica, where broken sea ice spread across the water beneath a long wall of snow-covered mountains. What first held me was not one isolated peak, but the entire landscape working together: the fractured ice in the foreground, the narrow band of dark open water, the serrated mountain range, and the heavy ceiling of cloud pressing down from above. It is the kind of view that belongs naturally within my Antarctica wall art photography, because the photograph is as much about atmosphere and scale as it is about geography.
The square composition gives the foreground room to matter. Large slabs of ice sit among hundreds of smaller fragments, creating a rough, shifting pattern that leads the eye toward the distant shore. Beyond that field of white, the dark water forms a clean horizontal break before the mountains rise abruptly from the coast. Their exposed rock faces cut through the snow with enough contrast to hold the center of the image, while low clouds partially conceal the higher ridges and keep the scene from becoming a simple scenic panorama.
I kept the color restrained because Antarctica often reveals itself through subtle variations rather than obvious saturation. The image is dominated by whites, grays, cold blue-green ice, and deep charcoal water. Those quiet tones give it a near-monochromatic character without removing the natural color that separates snow, ice, rock, sea, and sky. The repeated ice forms also connect this photograph to my broader ice wall art collection, where texture and frozen surfaces become the central visual language.
This is a photograph for someone drawn to remote landscapes, severe weather, and wall art that carries presence without relying on bright color. From across a room, the mountains and storm clouds establish the scale of the scene. At closer viewing distance, the broken ice becomes increasingly important, revealing irregular edges, compressed layers, and small tonal changes across the frozen water. The neutral palette works especially well in contemporary, minimalist, monochrome, and naturally toned interiors, while the subject brings a sense of wilderness that is difficult to mistake for anywhere else.
I produce each print with archival pigment inks on Premium archival paper. I personally sign every limited edition print, and each one includes a certificate of authenticity documenting its place within the edition of ten.
The larger body of work continues through my mountain wall art photography, where weather, geology, and distance define the image.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
