Santa Marta Green Facade And Red Door Cuba Colour Photography
Red Woodwork And Cream Trim Against A Bright Green Wall
Green is the first thing I see, followed by the deep red of the door and window. Cream borders hold both openings inside the bright wall, making a simple arrangement of colour and rectangles. The facade feels direct and lively, with just enough worn detail to keep it from becoming a flat graphic pattern.
I photographed this house in Santa Marta, Cuba, in 2018. The door is partly open at the left, while a dark metal grille covers the inner opening. Beside it, a closed red window has its own iron bars. I like the slight imbalance between them: the doorway is taller and busier, while the window gives the eye a quieter shape to settle on. Across the top, weathered moulding and a yellow wall add warmer, less even bands of colour. A narrow pavement runs below, bringing the composition back to street level.
Looking closely reveals rough plaster, peeling edges and small variations in the green paint. Those marks make this a particular place, photographed as I found it, with its strong colour doing most of the work. As Cuban street photography wall art, the image can bring an energetic accent to a hallway, office or living room. It suits someone who enjoys painted facades and everyday architecture, and it pairs naturally with simple furnishings that give the green and red room to stand out.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
