A Forgotten Entrance Along A Crumbling Industrial Wall
This photograph is built around simplicity. A single weathered wooden door stands against a massive brick wall, surrounded by crumbling masonry, scattered debris, and decades of neglect. The scene is quiet, but there is a surprising amount to explore. Every section of brick carries a different tone and texture. Stains run down the wall from years of exposure. Paint has faded and peeled away. The door's wood has aged unevenly, revealing marks left by time, weather, and use.
What first caught my attention was the contrast between the small door and the enormous wall surrounding it. The doorway feels almost insignificant against the scale of the structure, yet it immediately becomes the focal point. The eye naturally moves toward it, then wanders through the surrounding textures, cracks, and subtle color variations. The image balances order and disorder simultaneously. The vertical lines of the wall create structure, while the rubble and broken bricks introduce a sense of decay and abandonment.
I photographed this scene on location in Haliburton, Ontario, while exploring some of the forgotten corners that often go unnoticed. Places like this rarely appear on postcards or travel brochures, yet they tell stories that polished buildings cannot. They reveal the passage of time directly and honestly. Nothing here has been restored or cleaned up. The character comes entirely from what nature and neglect have created over the years.
The muted earth tones, weathered surfaces, and industrial atmosphere make this image particularly well-suited for modern interiors, loft spaces, offices, studios, and homes that embrace texture and architectural detail. It works well as a statement piece for anyone drawn to abandoned places, industrial design, urban exploration, or the beauty found in aging structures. The image rewards close viewing, revealing new details within the bricks, wood, and scattered remains along the ground.

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
