Las Vegas Night: A Photographic Homage to Architectural Elegance

In the heart of Las Vegas, I stood before Crystals at CityCenter, an architectural jewel that captures the essence of luxury and sophistication that defines the Las Vegas Strip. This structure, completed in 2009, showcases the deft skill of Design Principal Daniel Libeskind and Project Architect Johan van Lierop, both from Studio Libeskind.

As the night cloaks the city, its enchanting lights tenderly caress the audacious geometric forms of the crystalline façade. A spectacle of reflections and contrasts is born, adding a brief touch of beauty to the night. The sharp, modern lines punctuate the urban landscape with an undeniable uniqueness, and the monochromatic palette of the photograph highlights the interplay of light and shadow, lending a timeless quality to the composition.

This photograph is an homage to the allure of Las Vegas at night, an invitation to step into a world of architectural elegance and urban dynamism. It speaks to the city's commitment to high-end design and luxury, with Crystals at CityCenter embodying this dedication.

Crystals at CityCenter is more than a landmark; it is an upscale shopping mall with a rich history and architectural grandeur. Unveiled on December 3, 2009, MGM Resorts International and Dubai World initially owned it and later sold it to Invesco and Simon Property Group for $1.1 billion in 2016. The design of Crystals is a testimony to the collaborative genius of Daniel Libeskind, who designed the exterior, and David Rockwell, who worked on the interiors. Its unique design features sharp angles, an abundance of glass, and 19 separate and uniquely shaped roofs, some of which overlap. The interior design includes a grand staircase, an indoor park theme in certain areas, and ceilings that reach up to 120 feet in some parts of the mall.
