Rounded Vehicle Fronts Pass Repeating Yellow and Cream Arches
Two classic cars travel along a Havana street beside a long row of arches. Their dark bodywork contrasts with the yellow and cream facade behind them, while a pink upper wall appears at the far end of the view. I encountered the scene while walking through the city, and the photograph brings the vehicles and architecture into a shared composition. The cars occupy the lower middle rather than filling the entire frame.
Each vehicle has a different front profile. The car on the left has a rounded roof and simpler grille, while the one on the right carries a broader chrome front beneath a pale roof and small taxi sign. I enjoy those differences within a scene that initially reads as a pair. The repeated arches and columns behind them establish a steadier rhythm, with dark doorways set between the pale supports.
White road arrows cross the foreground, giving the view another set of directional shapes. The open pavement leaves room around the cars, and the facade’s receding line leads toward the corner building beyond. Colour stays relatively restrained in the vehicles, allowing the warmer architecture to make the strongest background impression. My photograph would suit an interest in Cuban streets or vintage motoring, offering the cars as part of Havana’s everyday setting. As a print, it combines recognizable automotive forms with a clearly structured architectural backdrop.
