Havana Street Life Between Colourful Facades Fine Art Photography
Turquoise Walls and Pedestrians Along a Havana Street
Turquoise paint gives this Havana street its first bright note. Along the opposite side, pale walls and a faded pink doorway keep the colour quieter, while a group of people approaches from farther down the road. The photograph leaves plenty of space between the viewer and that activity, letting the buildings lead you toward it.
On my walks through Havana, I found the streets offered as much to photograph as any single landmark. Here, tall doorways, window grilles and balconies create a succession of small details along the route. Some painted surfaces are worn back to the plaster beneath. Others hold their colour strongly, especially the ornate turquoise facade on the left.
I like how the street narrows into the distance without losing its everyday character. The pedestrians are part of the view, rather than a crowd filling the frame. Their clothes introduce small bursts of brighter colour among the more subdued walls. Above them, projecting balconies and crossing wires make the space feel close and lived in.
For this photograph, the appeal is the combination of human activity and the architecture surrounding it. You can take in the people at a glance, then return to the textures and repeated openings along either side. As wall art, it offers a street-level view of Cuba with enough colour to hold attention and enough quiet foreground to let the scene breathe.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
