Hanoi Train Street Railway Black and White Photography
Converging Rails Between Cafe Chairs And Crowded Balconies
At Hanoi Train Street, I was struck by how completely the railway and the neighbourhood share the same space. I photographed straight down the tracks, with cafe chairs, narrow buildings, plants, and people close on either side. Black and white brings the dense surroundings together while leaving the converging rails as a clear route through the photograph.
The sleepers create a repeated pattern from the foreground into the distance. That strong central structure gives the eye somewhere to travel before the details begin to multiply. A man beside a motorcycle and other nearby figures keep the view connected to daily activity rather than turning it into an empty study of railway lines.
Overhead, awnings, cables, and projecting balconies overlap across the narrow opening. Below them, tables and chairs sit along the edges of the track, and plants soften parts of the buildings. I like how these ordinary details accumulate. The railway is not detached from the scene around it; it passes directly through it.
There is no train in this frame, which lets the street's arrangement remain visible. The rails supply the perspective, but the photograph becomes richer when I look away from their centre and explore the margins. That balance is what held my attention in Hanoi: a precise line running through a place full of irregular shapes, everyday objects, and human presence.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
