Beijing Scooters and Bus Beneath Bare Trees Black and White Photography
Riders Approach Through a Canopy of Interlacing Branches
Scooter riders and cyclists approach beneath tall bare trees in this Beijing street photograph. A bus follows near the centre of the view, with low buildings lining both sides of the road. I remember waiting on the sidewalk for the elements to align, letting the movement of the street come into the frame. The scene was unstaged, with each vehicle and rider occupying a different distance from the camera.
The nearest scooter provides a clear point of attention in the lower middle of the image. Another rider sits farther back on the right, while cyclists move along the left side. Their staggered positions give the road depth, and the bus provides a larger, more solid shape behind them. The open foreground allows those separate figures to remain easy to distinguish.
Above the traffic, interlacing branches fill much of the vertical frame. Thick trunks rise from pale painted bases along the pavement, then divide into finer lines against the light sky. I enjoy how that overhead network contrasts with the simpler outlines of vehicles below. Black and white connects the two parts through tone and texture.
My photograph records an ordinary Beijing street moment from 2015. It keeps the neighborhood setting visible alongside its traffic, making the trees, shopfronts and road part of the story. For someone drawn to candid urban photography, this print offers a layered everyday view of the city with movement at its centre.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
