Lunenburg Red House Windows Colour Architectural Photography
White Window Frames Across Sunlit Red Siding
Two white framed windows sit on adjoining red walls in this close architectural view from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The colour caught my attention as I walked through the town, and the photograph stays close enough to let that red occupy almost the entire frame. Dark roof shingles form a band across the top, while a pale vertical seam marks the corner where the walls meet. The simple arrangement gives the brighter colour room to make its impression.
Sunlight creates a broad patch across the left wall, with a diagonal edge of shade passing beneath the window. On the right, the red is deeper and more even. I enjoy how the same painted surface changes between those two areas without losing its continuity. Horizontal courses of siding run behind both windows, and the narrow divisions in the glass introduce a smaller grid. Small worn areas around the white trim add texture to a composition that is otherwise strongly defined by colour and line.
The closer I look, the more the windows become individual parts of the scene rather than a repeated pair. Their glass, trim and surrounding light are different, even though they belong to the same building. My photograph draws on that balance between repetition and variation. It would make a vivid accent among more restrained architectural prints, or bring a concentrated area of red to a room that already includes warm colours.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
