The Oslo Tre | Limited Edition of 10
Illuminated Tree at Night in Oslo - Fine Art Wall Art
Here’s my take on the photograph of the tree, which I captured during a quiet evening in Oslo. The solitary tree, bathed in soft, glowing light, stands as the centerpiece of this image. The branches, filled with illuminated leaves, create a stunning contrast against the dark, seemingly endless night sky. It feels like the tree radiates energy, its glow almost otherworldly. The ground beneath, dusted with snow, adds a serene, almost dream-like quality to the scene, creating an atmosphere of calm and quiet reflection.
The choice of monochrome in this shot strips away the distraction of color, leaving you with the raw elegance of form and light. What I find fascinating is how the light filters through each individual leaf, making them appear as if they’re lit from within. It’s a scene where simplicity and complexity come together in a balanced dance, each branch and each leaf contributing to the overall mood. The soft glow, combined with the starkness of the night sky, adds depth and emotion, drawing you into the stillness of that moment.
This photograph was taken in Oslo during winter, a time when the nights are long and the air feels heavy with silence. The solitary tree stood on a small hill, its silhouette enhanced by the surrounding darkness. For me, it felt like nature was showing its strength, glowing even in the coldest of nights. This image captures that moment when I realized how nature, even in its quietest form, has the ability to shine.
Personal note: The glow from this tree against the pitch-black sky was mesmerizing. It felt like I stumbled upon a hidden gem in the quiet Oslo night, where the tree became a beacon of light in an otherwise dark and cold world. There’s something deeply calming about this scene, and it reminds me how even the smallest things can bring light into the darkest times.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.
Worldwide Delivery Included
Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
