Sailing Beautiful Sunset Key West Florida | Limited Edition of 10
Golden Sunset Behind A Sailing Charter At Sea
Some photographs remind me why I fell in love with being on the water in the first place, and this is one of them.
A couple of decades ago, I owned a trawler in Southern Florida and spent countless hours exploring the coast, enjoying the freedom that only a boat can provide. During one warm August evening in 2012, I found myself watching the sun slowly sink toward the horizon as the sky turned deeper shades of orange and red. Then this beautiful charter sailboat drifted into perfect position. The sails were fully raised, the passengers appeared as dark silhouettes against the glowing sky, and for a brief moment everything aligned.
What I love most about this image is how simple it is. The sailboat sits quietly on the horizon while the setting sun fills the sky with rich layers of color. The water below reflects small traces of that light, creating a path that leads directly toward the vessel. The people aboard become part of the story. Their individual identities disappear into silhouette, allowing the viewer to imagine their own experience. Friends gathering on deck. A celebration. A vacation. A perfect evening spent on the ocean.
The remarkable part is that the colors in this photograph are exactly how I remember them. The deep reds, oranges, and gold tones were not imagined. They were there. Standing on the water that evening, I watched the sky transform into one of the most memorable sunsets I have ever witnessed. Even today, when I look at this image, I can place myself back on that boat and feel the warm air, the gentle movement of the sea, and the calm that comes with being surrounded by open water.
Photographed off the coast of South Florida, this image captures a timeless scene. Sailboats have always represented freedom, adventure, and escape. Combined with the dramatic sunset, the result is an image that brings warmth and atmosphere into a space without overwhelming it.
This photograph works particularly well in coastal homes, lake houses, cottages, offices, and spaces inspired by travel or life on the water. The bold colors create a strong focal point while the simple silhouette keeps the composition clean and relaxing.
I personally sign each limited-edition print, and each includes a certificate of authenticity. Every print is produced using archival pigment inks and museum-quality materials to ensure lasting image quality for years to come.

Limited Edition of 10
This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.
Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.
I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.
Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.
Premium Archival Fine Art Prints
I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.
The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.
Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.
Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.
Worldwide Delivery Included
Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.
Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.
Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
