Maine Harbor Sunrise: A Peaceful Morning by Dan Kosmayer | Fine Art Print

My eyes, keen to the early morning dew, were greeted by an amicable sight as I stood on the edge of a tranquil fishing harbor. The scene, nestled in the heart of Portland, Maine, was captured in this monochromatic photograph, bathed in serene silence.

The photo anchors its focus on a quaint fish market building. Nestled along the water channel, it is a silent observer of the small harbor's daily rhythms. Tied up along the weathered wooden docks, fishing boats create an intricate dance of lines and textures in the frame. The story of the harbor unfolds through the scattered ropes and fishing gear - a testament to the diligent work and bustling activity that brings life to this place.

Mirroring the calm morning sky, the water remains still, creating a reflective surface that paints a double portrait of this serene tableau. This mirror-like attribute amplifies the peacefulness of the scene, inviting the viewer into a moment of quiet contemplation.

The photo's composition carries a sense of tranquility inherent to coastal fishing communities, a tradition held dear in the heart of these hardworking people. It is a scene that captures the essence of a quiet morning - a gentle awakening, a calm start to the rhythm of the day.

This museum-grade signed print is exceptional, capturing my passion for photography. I have signed each print on the reverse side by hand, indicating its authenticity. The print comes with a certificate of authenticity, and I assure you it's lifetime durability against fading, offering a full reimbursement within 14 days if needed.

Printed on acid-free 100% cotton paper, the photograph reveals sharp precision, smooth transitions, deep blacks, intricate details, and vibrant hues. The paper has a subtly textured, warm-tone finish, enhancing the photo's aesthetic appeal. I want to note that frames are not included in the print.

I offer free global delivery on all orders. I am committed to ensuring satisfaction and offer a 14-day guarantee for every print, allowing for a full refund if necessary.

Limited Edition of 10

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.

Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.

I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.

Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

Premium Archival Fine Art Prints

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.

The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.

Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.

Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide Delivery Included

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.

Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.

Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
