London Layered Graffiti and Stickers Colour Street Art Photography
Torn Paper and Bold Faces Cover an Urban Wall
A grinning painted face holds the centre of this crowded London wall, surrounded by stickers, lettering and scraps of overlapping paper. I photographed the surface in 2023, keeping the frame close enough for its colours and layers to become the whole scene. Bright yellow panels pull the eye upward, while red, blue and green marks carry it through the lower half.
What interests me here is how many different kinds of drawing share one surface. Cartoon faces sit beside photographs, hand lettering crosses printed images, and torn edges reveal fragments underneath. Some marks are sharply defined; others have been scraped, covered or broken apart. These changes give the photograph a tactile quality, with the wall reading almost like a thickly worked page.
I see a lively tension between the large central face and the smaller details around it. From a distance, the image has the force of an abstract colour composition. Moving closer brings individual expressions, symbols and textures into view. The upright format holds this accumulation together, and the patches of black and white give the brighter colours places to rest.
For a creative workspace or a room with a strong urban character, this street art photograph brings colour and plenty to explore. It works particularly well against a simple wall where the dense surface can hold attention. I like that it offers a different route through the image each time, from a torn corner to a small face nearly hidden beneath another layer.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
