American Flag Stars Behind Boston Windows Black and White Photography
Large Stars Meet Window Grids and Reflected Clouds
Large pale stars appear behind a grid of windows in this Boston photograph. I framed the glass and its painted surrounds closely, including a narrow strip of brick at the left and plants along the base. The flag pattern is partly divided by the window frames, making it something to discover within the architecture rather than a separate object in front of it.
The overlapping layers are what hold my interest. The stars sit behind the glass, while clouds and nearby trees appear as reflections on its surface. Light and dark panes change across the row, and the fine crossbars create smaller rectangles within the larger window pattern. I like how the photograph lets those elements coexist: straight lines, bold star shapes and softer reflections remain visible in the same area. Near the bottom, the plants introduce a looser texture beneath the careful arrangement of frames.
In black and white, the contrast between the pale stars and darker interior gives the image a strong graphic character. The windows provide structure around that pattern, and the reflections connect it to the street outside. My photograph concentrates on a small urban detail with several things happening at once. For someone with a connection to Boston or an interest in American flag imagery, it offers a distinctive architectural view. It also suits a space where monochrome shapes and close observations of city life have a place.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
