Old Havana Street at Night – Fine Art Urban Photography with Texture and Mood

There’s a version of Havana most people know—the colourful, sunlit streets, the vintage cars, the music drifting through open windows. But that’s not the Havana in this image. This version surfaces after dark, when the city lowers its voice and the architecture takes the lead.

I found this street after most of the movement had faded. The buildings weren’t lit for show—they were barely lit at all. The streetlamps cast a slow amber haze, just enough to define shapes and textures without polishing them. What struck me most wasn’t what I saw clearly—it was what I couldn’t. The shadows were part of the structure, not background.

This photograph is quiet, not in the sense that nothing is happening, but in the way a space holds itself when no one’s watching. The walls are marked, worn, and discoloured—but intact. The signage is faded. The balconies lean a little. It’s not picturesque in the curated sense, but it’s full of presence—Havana, unposed.

I did not attempt to glamorize this frame. I left the colours as they were—subdued, a little tired, but deeply expressive. There’s no flash, no long exposure tricks—just patience. The city is still standing long enough for one good image.

If you’re looking for wall art with character but no pretense—something moody, textural, and honest—this piece gives back slowly. It doesn’t decorate; it grounds.

I wrote more about the atmosphere and restraint in this frame—read the full breakdown on Kozzi to see why I left the scene untouched.

Edition Information

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered edition of 10 prints across all available sizes. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist on the reverse and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Once all 10 prints have been sold, this work will be permanently retired, and no further numbered editions will be produced in any size or format. A small number of Artist Proofs may be retained by the artist for archival or exhibition purposes.

Museum Quality Fine Art Prints

All prints are produced by the artist using archival pigment inks on professional photographic paper with a subtle luster finish.

This paper offers a balanced surface that enhances tonal depth, preserves fine detail, and reduces glare under typical indoor lighting conditions.

Each print is carefully inspected prior to dispatch to ensure consistency of finish and presentation.

Free Worldwide Delivery

Each print is personally produced, signed, and packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
