Laundry And Color Along A Sunlit Havana Street

I made this photograph while walking through Havana, Cuba, late in the day, when the sun was moving across the facades at an angle. What caught me was not a single landmark but the whole layered street: weathered walls, barred doors, faded paint, ornate ironwork, and laundry hanging from balconies above the sidewalk. It is the kind of lived-in detail that makes Cuba wall art photography feel connected to an actual place rather than a polished idea of one.

I loved exploring Havana. The people were friendly, and the architecture felt unreal—full of life, color, history, and the marks of everyday use. I was drawn to the contrast between the pale yellow building in the foreground and the pink, blue, green, and orange facades farther along the street. The warm sunlight brings out every crack, patch, shutter, railing, and worn edge without taking away the dignity of the buildings.

The composition moves naturally from the broad wall and doorway on the left toward the narrower line of homes in the distance. Above, the balconies and hanging clothes create a second rhythm, almost like another street suspended over the first. The empty roadway gives the frame breathing room and lets the architecture carry the photograph. These ordinary details are what I look for in urban wall art photography because they reveal how a city is actually lived in, not simply how it appears in a guidebook.

I photographed this scene on location during my time in Havana. The late-afternoon light gave the street a warmth that felt completely natural to the moment, while the open sky and soft clouds kept the scene from becoming too heavy. Nothing needed to be arranged. The color, texture, and balance were already there.

This photograph works especially well for someone who enjoys architecture, travel, street photography, or interiors with warmth and character. Its vertical format is well suited to a narrow wall, entryway, reading area, office, or space between windows. The palette brings together warm neutrals and brighter accents, allowing the print to add color without feeling overly decorative.

Each limited edition print is made with archival pigment inks on premium archival paper. I personally sign every print, and each one includes a certificate of authenticity. The edition is limited to ten, keeping the work personal and closely connected to the original photograph.

This street scene belongs naturally with Havana wall art photography centered on the city's color, architecture, and everyday life.

Limited Edition of 10

This photograph is released as a signed and numbered limited edition of only 10 prints in total across all available sizes combined—not 10 prints in each size.

Every size is drawn from the same edition. Whether the photograph is purchased as a small print or at the largest available size, it uses one of the 10 edition numbers.

I personally sign and number each print on the reverse, and every print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity recording its title, dimensions, medium, edition number, and date of issue.

Once all 10 prints have been sold, the edition will be permanently closed. No additional numbered editions of the photograph will be produced in another size or format.

Premium Archival Fine Art Prints

I personally produce every photograph using archival pigment inks on premium archival paper with a subtle luster finish.

The paper provides rich tonal depth, excellent fine-detail reproduction, and a refined surface that reduces distracting glare under normal indoor lighting. It is especially well suited to both color and black-and-white photography.

Each photograph is sold as an unframed fine art print, allowing it to be framed according to the collector’s space and personal style.

Before a print leaves my studio, I carefully inspect it for color, tonal accuracy, surface quality, and overall presentation. Nothing is outsourced, and every finished print passes through my hands.

Worldwide Delivery Included

Every print is personally produced, inspected, signed, numbered, and carefully packaged by me at my studio in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.

Worldwide delivery is included in the listed price, so there is no additional shipping charge added during checkout. I select an appropriate tracked delivery service based on the destination, print size, and current shipping requirements.

Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs processing or circumstances beyond my control.

Because I also travel extensively to create new photographic work, studio dispatch may occasionally be delayed while I am away. When that happens, the print will be produced and shipped as soon as I return to the studio.
