Pruces Motor Inn Abandoned Lobby Colour Interior Photography
A Red Staircase Beneath Exposed Beams and Graffiti
A red staircase rises through the centre of the abandoned Pruces Motor Inn lobby, surrounded by graffiti, exposed ceiling beams and scattered debris. My photograph brings those elements together in a wide interior view. The staircase remains the clearest route through the room, even though the surfaces around it have lost much of their original finish.
The ceiling gives this scene much of its visual structure. Rows of bare timber extend across the top of the frame and recede toward the back wall. Below them, the steps climb at a different angle, setting their orderly repetition against the uneven floor. An open doorway on the left reveals another space, while large painted letters fill the wall on the right.
I am interested in how clearly the building’s layout remains visible among the damage. The surviving staircase, openings and wall surfaces give the eye a way through the room, even where loose material and broken fittings interrupt the floor. Colour keeps the reddish steps distinct from the pale walls, dark writing and patches of green across the floor.
This abandoned interior print offers a detailed view for someone drawn to derelict architecture and the marks left on buildings. At a distance, the stair and ceiling provide strong lines. Closer inspection brings out the layered paint, worn wood and fragments scattered across the foreground, making the room’s physical condition part of the image.

About My Fine Art Photography
Every photograph in my collection comes from my own travels, explorations, and years behind the camera.
I create my work as photographic art rather than mass-produced decoration. From street portraits and abandoned places to landscapes, architecture, and the unusual subjects I discover along the way, each image begins with something that made me stop and look.
My photographs are available in multiple sizes so the same image can work in anything from an intimate wall space to a large statement installation.
