Yellow surrounds everything. In this rural Cuban doorway photograph, the painted wall carries the colour while a tall wooden door anchors the centre. I was drawn to the contrast between that broad golden surface and the narrow, worn boards, with a thin turquoise border separating one from the other.
The door has a quieter palette of browns, cream and traces of old paint. Its vertical grain and peeling surface give it an uneven texture that rewards a closer look. Above it, a barred opening introduces a dark rectangle, balancing the long doorway below. A pale green projection enters at the upper left, adding another small interruption to the warm wall.
I kept the view close and direct. There is enough of the surrounding facade to show how the entrance fits into the building, but the composition stays with the relationship between colour and shape. Electrical meters and looping wires remain part of that everyday setting. They bring irregular lines into an otherwise straightforward arrangement of rectangles and upright boards.
What I enjoy here is the way a simple entrance can hold so much visual interest. The wall is bright, yet its surface is far from uniform; scuffs, cracks and variations in paint give the yellow depth. This colour photograph offers a warm architectural accent for someone who likes Cuban street details, weathered doors and strong colour without a crowded scene.
