There’s no glass in the windows, just open voids where people once passed through. The desert light was sharp that day—hard-edged and honest—highlighting the rough textures of the building’s façade without forgiving a single flaw.
What drew me to this scene wasn’t nostalgia—it was structure. This wasn’t built to be sentimental. It was built to function. And decades later, stripped down and sunburnt, it still stands with purpose. You don’t need a plaque to know it mattered.
